AkataleUG is a free online marketplace built for Ugandans, by Ugandans. Our name comes from “akatale,” the Luganda word for market — because that’s exactly what we want to be: your nearest market, right at your fingertips.
We believe buying and selling shouldn’t be complicated or costly. That’s why posting on AkataleUG is completely free, whether you’re selling a phone, a piece of furniture, or offering a service in your community.
AkataleUG is run by a small, hands-on team based right here in Uganda. We’re just getting started, and we’re building this platform step by step — with real people, real listings, and real trust at the heart of it.
